A design system only earns its keep when it can flex with the brand — new products, new markets, new formats — without losing what makes it recognizable in the first place.
What makes a system flexible?
Most teams default to a rigid style guide: fixed colors, fixed type sizes, fixed layouts. That works fine until the brand needs to show up somewhere the guide never anticipated — a product UI, a trade-show booth, a short-form video. A flexible system instead defines principles and constraints, then lets teams compose within them.
Start with tokens, not templates
Rather than shipping a fixed set of page templates, we hand off a token system — color, spacing, and type scales — that any designer or engineer on the client's team can recompose without breaking the brand's core identity.
