A Turnaround Built On Fixing The Basics First
Coastal Retail came to us after two consecutive quarters of declining same-store sales. Before proposing any marketing spend, we spent three weeks auditing inventory turns, staffing ratios, and store-level P&Ls across their twelve locations.
What we found was less glamorous than a rebrand: three stores were carrying inventory that had not moved in over a year, and staffing schedules were built around assumptions from a much busier season. Fixing those two things freed up enough cash to fund the marketing refresh that followed.
